Seattle's delicate tastebuds
Seattleite [info]killthief is disappointed in Seattle's lack of chain restaurants.

[info]seattle is disappointed in her lack of taste; her appalling lack of taste.

Personally, because Red Robin is burgers and Applebees is ribs and grills and stuff. Sometimes cravings are specific. (Like, I _really_ wish northern Utah has some Roberto's Taco Shops... they have Mexican food but not the specific taste that I want.)

I do not know Roberto's but holy toledo I MISS Durango's. The Orem Durango's was a good friend of mine when I was down there for school. Mmmmmmm burrito of doom. I don't even know if it's still there.

I'll give you the ribs thing, though I'm heavily biased against Applebees ribs. It's somewhat foodie-elitist of me and I know it but I used to work within walking distance of a REALLY GOOD barbecue restaurant so...yeah.

When I am outside of California I miss Mexican food something fierce. Everywhere else does it differently. Tex-Mex is good but it is a veerrrrrrryy different thing.

I'm an Arizona native, and I'll admit that I'm the world's biggest Mexican food snob. I miss it something fierce when I travel.

It was pretty much the only thing we all started missing on a student trip to Europe. We all got sort of homesick two weeks in, but by the end of the trip we were more sad to be leaving than happy to go home, but we all really, really wanted a burrito. Asian food you can get, and of course we went to France and Italy and Spain and had mind-blowing food, and delicious curry in England, but anything from the Americas? Well, I found a restaurant in London that purportedly served Tex-Mex, but I wasn't going to risk it.

Isn't there Denney's and Shari's there, though? They all serve the same types of food except Denney's is gross.
