Seattle's delicate tastebuds
Seattleite [info]killthief is disappointed in Seattle's lack of chain restaurants.

[info]seattle is disappointed in her lack of taste; her appalling lack of taste.

She forgot about all the Subways in Seattle.

And honestly it could be worse for her, she could be living on Bainbridge Island were the only chain restaurant on the whole island is a single McDonald's. And that's only because they were able to get in before the Island decided not to let any chains set up there.

My family lives north of Kingston. There is NOTHING north of Kingston. Th nearest gas station is on the S'Klallam reservation. Chain restaurants? HAH. There are no restaurants unless we drive into Kingston. And, uh, that's Kingston. There's a Puerto Villarta. That's it.

So yeah. Bainbridge and Kingston area, your only choice is to drive in to Poulsbo, where there are...pretty much only fast food restaurants.

I live on the outskirts of Poulsbo, kinda close to Suquamish, so heading over to Silverdale isn't a bad option if I really want a chain restaurant over just fast food.

But I understand what you mean about nothing in your area, as I have never had a reason to head even towards Kingston unless I need to get the ferry. It has always looked like a lot of nothing to me. Though maybe now that it has its own high school things might change a bit?

Well, technically Isla Bonita and La Casa Roja (or whatever it was called, if it's even still there five years after I left the island) are Aztecas. For a while there Isla Bonita didn't even bother to change the logo on the front of their menus, which was really entertaining for my sixteen year-old self.

But yeah, it'd be a whole drive to Silverdale to find any Olive Gardens or anything. Oh noes!
