Seattle's delicate tastebuds
Seattleite [info]killthief is disappointed in Seattle's lack of chain restaurants.

[info]seattle is disappointed in her lack of taste; her appalling lack of taste.

THE BISCUITS ARE REALLY EASY

Simpleness:
Take some Bisquick
Add enough water to make it a bit sticky and hold the flour together
Throw in a ton of shredded cheddar cheese
Add a little garlic salt/powder
Toss those biscuits down on a pan

Melt butter
Add italian seasoning
Add garlic salt/powder
Spread that over the uncooked biscuits

Throw them in the oven at 400 degrees F

You can find more specific directions online, but that's basically it!

Oh and they take like 7-8 minutes. INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

I have that recipe, but replace the water with milk. (And never, never, for the love of Batman, use the Reduced-Fat Bisquick unless you want something to play wall-ball with.)

I have never been to Red Lobster, but the comment hymns and the fact that I like cheese and biscuits have convinced me to try this. Possibly tonight. Thank you!

Thank you! I would love Red Lobster's cheesy biscuits, but they are too salty for me, so now I can make my own without so much salt. Yay!

Ooooooo! Thank you! I tried making them myself once (from scratch though; we didn't have any bisquick so I figured ehhh) and athough decent, they weren't magic.

What "italian seasoning" do you use, by the way? Is it a specific mix, or what?

No specific mix!

Personally I also toss in red pepper to add a little spice. I think that recipes I've seen say if you have Old Bay seasoning that might be even better than the generic (I use McCormick) Italian seasoning.

Do both. It's easier to get a knife between/up under the ribs while you're close and they're distracted.
