"Marriage is love." "Is not!"
shared_boxers made the now-famous "Marriage is Love" campaign a few days back in support of the legalization of same-sex marriage.

diamondbackace looks at this as "justification of sin" and posts his own response to the campaign.

Not full-on wanky yet, but just you wait.

Funny how he manages to directly contradict himself in the first two sentences.

Marriage is NOT love. It is one of the highest expressions of love through a sacred union formed by God.

So if marriage isn't love, but it IS love, then what is it?

Personally, I don't think that a bit of code posted throughout LJ is going to change anything, but that's neither here nor there. wankywankywank.

A friend of mine recently had "marriage is a meme," which I can respect. I have also considered "a rainbow is the spectrum of visible colors in rough order of wavelength," but I'm not sure I'm enough of an optics nerd to get a good definition on.

It is the job of a government to restrict evil. Christianity knows what evil is. Therefore, it IS under the jurisdiction of Christianity.

Indeed. That seems to be the entire basis of his arguments, that Christianity is the end-all be-all definition of what's right and wrong... but only HIS take on it.
(Oh, and, don't put words in his mouth, even if the words are his own.)
