I have to wonder why, if money/time/ease of organising was even a slight issue, were they bringing in tutors from North America? I'm sure no-one is going to seriously claim that the UK is only made up of knitting amateurs.

Train and coach fares are usually a lot cheaper than plane flights, plus you don't have to worry about work visas and customs!
