So...if all the books anyone could ever want to read are already written, can Laura Miller please rec me a book that:
-stars a heroine and her band of nakama
-has heroes who aren't straight, cisgendered, and/or white
-has lots of machiavellian politics involving multiple cultures, all of which are presented as equal
-has parasites and interesting biological stuff
-is ideally set in a steampunk universe
-involves many moments of sheer win and awesome by various characters.
I'm sure she can name several! Since, after all, everything important's been already written and that includes all my narrative kinks, right?
