YESS I was waiting for the annual NaNo wank! And it's my favorite, the "stop having fun" kind!
It was yet another depressing sign that the cultural spaces once dedicated to the selfless art of reading are being taken over by the narcissistic commerce of writing.
This is such a beautifully nonsensical sentence. Where does she think the novels she reads come from? Is she not aware that people have to write them first? The mind boggles.
Yet while there's no shortage of good novels out there, there is a shortage of readers for these books.
Oh, damn. I thought I could be both a reader and a writer. No one told me I had to pick just one!
