I officially abandoned the novel day before yesterday at 16,254 words, but I'm still happy with my NaNo experience this year. There were about five thousand reasons I had decided I wasn't going to do it at all this year, but at the last minute I thought that most of those reasons were also good ones for at least trying. I'm glad I started it and that I got as far as I did, so all in all it will still been a good NaNo year even though I don't plan to finish.
