Now, now, be fair. I'm sure the Fifties were a wonderful time as long as you were straight, white, preferably protestant, middle class and male. It sucked in varying degrees if you weren't, of course, but who cares about Those People, anyway? (And let's ignore that US taxes in the Fifties were sky-high for the rich(er) and companies got away much, much less with screwing over their workers, because that's clearly just reality being a piece of biased liberal propaganda again.)

And things were EVEN BETTER in the Eighties! (Well, I'm sure it was slightly easier for non-whites and women, but "slightly better" and "good" are not the same, and then there was Saint Ronnie's expert handling of the AIDS crisis, and augh.)
