Depending on how rural she was talking about, there actually may not have been anywhere convenient like that. I vacation annually at a place in West Virginia where, if the internet at the property itself goes down, it's a 35 minute drive to the nearest library with internet access, and it's only open about 20 hours a week, and has two antiquated Gates Foundation grant computers, no wifi. There are no cafes, no coffee shops, no hotspots. If the library is closed, you'd have to drive about an hour into Maryland to get wifi at the McDonalds. (That's also the nearest McDonalds.) Internet access in rural areas is pathetic.
