My favorite was the "Satan's face seen in cloud of smoke from [insert name of disaster/attack/explosion that produced lots of smoke]!" It was always the exact same picture.

It lost some of its charm for me when it stopped trying to pretend it was a serious publication. It was still funny when it was kind of winky-winky, but not as much as when it was really trying to convince us that miners in Poland had actually drilled so deep that they reached Hell.
