Its the multiple community, sockpuppets are like, the point
Do you know about multiples/plurals? They are a group of people, or perhaps a group of groups of people who believe that they have many minds or souls sharing one body. But don't say they have DID, or mention alters, this is "healthy" [info]multiplicity! The kind that basically comes from spending too much time role-playing.

Now days, the multiple community keeps most of its drama behind closed doors. Drama that usually has to with the people who don't have Sephiroth in their system looking down on those who do, or incessant bitching about who is just pretending, and who actually needs to get some psych help because they really aren't pretending, while the rest of the community is probably only pretending to not be pretending. Its a big old pretend-fest.

But yesterday, some wanker decided to air their wank in public for all to see! They created a journal where all multiples could post anonymously and bitch about the other multiples they hated.

And thus, Pluralanon was born! 100+ comments of bitching, backstabbing and circlejerk.

Its especially funny when the uninivated rest of the community shows up.

And its entirely possible that there were only 2 real live participants, with the rest of them being imaginary!

ETA: Original thread is now deleted, but they are back in a new one in Glorious Technicolor.

I am not so sad to say that just searching for that link sent me into a MUSTWATCHTHEWHOLETHINGOVERAGAIN spiral. Luckily that person uploaded the whole series.

. . . actually, maybe I won't watch the whole series, but let's be honest. Who did watch after they swapped out Cat for Suzee anyway?

I certainly didn't! She was my favourite character! Dammit!

Did she ever come back?

There was one episode where they found some interdimensional video-phone thing so Suzee could talk to her family/Cat, but sadly she never officially came back. I heard somewhere that Jewel Staite fought to leave the show, actually, because she didn't want to run the risk of getting typecast for the rest of her career or something like that. Plus it was cancelled after that season.

Well, I sure am glad I gave up if she didn't even come back. Man. Unbelievable! I still can't figure out why they did that.

I can't find the site that I read it on originally to double-check, but I believe they originally had an explanation prepared for how Cat survived or the ship didn't actually explode or something, but they got word at the last minute that the show was being cancelled. But then after they'd already thrown out all of the storyboards or whatever, Nickelodeon told them that oh, hey, you're not cancelled and we need a second season in [ridiculously short amount of time], and oh yeah, no character deaths, FIXIT. So . . . they rushed for an easy explanation and that was it.

The moral of the story: Everything that was ever terrible about your favorite childhood shows was ALL NICKELODEON'S FAULT, ALWAYS.

Yes, I see you have an Alex Mack icon and I approve of this heartily. Damn if I didn't sit down and watch every new episode. AND I LIKED ANNIE. However, Nickelodeon also killed SNICK. I just. I just can't forgive you, Nickelodeon. I just can't. That Halloween call-in every year...IT WAS THE BEST.

Not to mention classic Nicktoons. I don't want to watch this new shit, I want real Doug, real Rugrats, the Angry Beavers...dammit, Nick!

At least Alex Mack had a proper ending. STILL WAITING FOR SOME SORT OF CONCLUSION TO ALLEN STRANGE, NICK!

Yeah, man, Nick in the '90s was just great. I know Nicktoons used to show some of the classic cartoons but I don't know if they do that anymore. I loved going back and finding out that Rock's Modern Life was just one half-hour long sexual innuendo.

Not true. I have heard Jewel talk about that at a convention. She had signed with two shows and the other show was in first position so when it was green lit, she had to stop doing Space Cases and they had to recast.

Also Space Cases went two seasons on Nick.

Yeah I know, the vid-phone episode was in the second season.

That is sad, though. I mean, yay for her for getting work, I'm just a sad little fangirl that she wasn't able to stay on longer.

I vaguely remember watching and liking Suzee more.

It was weird to find out that Liz Webber was Suzee and Jewel was Catalina. Strange places you find child actors, man.

THANKYOUTHANKYOU I have spent the last two days horribly sick in bed and need something entertaining to watch.

I must have seen the second series first, because the first episodes I saw had Suzee in them.

Poor Peter David (one of the creators) is constantly being asked "When will the series be on DVD?" at cons, and he always says the same thing: "Write to Nickelodeon, but don't expect them to say yes."

Yeah, I have such a love-hate relationship with Nickelodeon. On the one hand they made the '90s AWESOME for kids' television and then brought us Invader Zim and Avatar: The Last Airbender. But then on the other hand they apparently treat their creators like crap.

And they never want to release anything on DVD, even though all the kids who grew up with their best shows are now adults with disposable income and serious nostalgia goggles.
