"Kitty does WHAT?!"
On [info]cat_macros, someone posts a gross but amusing macro of a cat crapping in a toilet. LOLs are had, as is a discussion on how one would train a cat to USE a toilet. And then...

[info]amigoid: DO NOT WANT
Not funny. Not appropriate.

Okay, so she's grossed out by poop, she's hardly the first person to

Flagged.

Yes, flagged. [info]amigoid was apparently so traumatized by the sight of a cat taking a shit that s/he flagged the post.

Did I miss something in LJ's TOS/flagging policy about cat crap? Seriously, how's cat crap suddenly up there with hardcore pr0nz and dirty words and violence?

Mod kittydoom changes the community settings to Adult Concepts, the members pet her and tell her how wonderful she is while eyerolling at the OMG CAT CRAP IS TRIGGERING mentality, and [info]origamicage flounces.

Wasn't there a time when cat macros were a response to drama and not the cause of it? XD

I don't think they do, they said they were allergic somewhere in the post? Probably just as well.

She's much better now, she's on a prescription diet and thriving. :)

(oops, hit enter too fast)

My cat's on a prescription diet, too-Science Diet for cats with urinary/bladder issues. Few years ago, we thought she was just being bratty when she peed on the floor. Turned out she had bladder stones.

Ooh, that sounds painful. Poor kitten.

Mine's a rescue, she was left outside the shelter in a box overnight so we had no idea of her medical history when we adopted her (I strongly suspect her health issues were why she was dumped). She had a delicate stomach right from the off but it eventually got to the stage where she couldn't keep anything down. Several overnight stays at the vet, £380 worth of blood tests later and the vets were like, "Yeah, we don't know what it is. It's probably a food sensitivity." Ah well, at least we know what's not wrong with her. XD

Actually, she's an adult cat. Which may or may not be even more worrying. :( She's doing good now, though.

*cringe* Poor little thing. I'm glad she's doing better now.

Our household's previous cat had bladder stones, those are awful. :| Polly never did quite mentally recover from the surgery experience; she was Prozac Kitty around our house for the longest time!

But yeah we had to put her on prescription food. It helped! And I'm glad your kitty is well now. :)

My kitty had those. :( He never hissed at anything in his life, except the vet tech who straight cath'ed him to empty his poor bladder.

Also, he was in so much pain he got into the crawl space of the attic and when I went in to get him out, upon having love heaped upon him by me, he relaxed enough to empty his bladder. In my lap. I was both touched and so grossed out.

fkdslhglkaijhfkfgj; Catheters in general sound hella painful, I can only imagine how bad it must've felt for a poor little kitty urethra.

Awww...that's both touching and gross. XD
