She's from Mississippi! Granted, Mississippi also celebrates Mardi Gras, as do many Southern states to a certain degree, but how can you get all holier than thou about New Orleans being the heart of Mardi Gras if you're not even from there? I grew up closer to New Orleans than she did, only an hour compared to her across state lines "couple of hours" away.
