reading the comments and seeing the reaction of my roommate (while he said that he understood where I was coming from on this, he also gave me that look that tells me that he wonders why anyone ever lets me out in public, I realized that this was an error in judgement on my part.
I have moved this to http://www.journalfen.net/community/unfunny_fandom/profile as was suggested. Honestly, I don't know why it didn't pop into my head to post it there to begin with.

I sincerely apologize for my lack of cluefulness (I accept this as a word...it fits).

	it is actually the odd juxtaposing that made me laugh. I found it slightly uncomfortable that the rape mention was in that, hence my comment, but rape doesn't make me laugh. The idea that something so unrelated was attempted as a follow-up did. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

I get what you're saying since I sometimes laugh as a nervous reaction to things. It's not that I think an appalling subject is funny, it's more "oh my God, did they really say that?!", you know? Or if, as in this case, when a comment comes out of nowhere and is really absurd, I'll laugh and wonder what they're talking about, before realising what they're talking about. Anyway, sorry to make it all about me, I just kind of get where you're coming from, that's all.
