What saddens me most here is the misuse of "inferred." To infer is to draw conclusions based on evidence, as in, "I inferred, from his words, that he was a raging doucheweasel." The word they're searching for is "implied." As in, "I implied, by my words, that he was a raging doucheweasel." Post a comment in response: |
