Ah, the good old "I know you said you don't like food x, but my mother/grandmother/cousin/acquaintance makes the best x ever, you'll totally like it" response. I'm a really picky eater and I get that one all the bloody time. (My general problem with that is if *insert relation here* makes the best x ever, that presumably means it still tastes like x, but to a greater degree. I mean, I like cake, but if someone I knew made a cake that didn't taste at all like cake, I would consider that a bad cake. So if *relation* has a recipe for the best food x, it must mean that it tastes considerably like x, and because I do not like food x then no, I will not like *relation's* recipe. Unless someone's aunt has a recipe for tuna that tastes like chocolate cake.)
