I've never been in a public library that was quiet and tranquil. Maybe a couple of university libraries, whilst deep in the stacks doing my research on things-nobody-else-ever-reads-about, but never a public library. What planet were these people from, and where can I find these libraries free of tired babies and unruly middle schoolers?
