There was a woman in my Materials for Young Adults class who thought that all fantasy/sf/anything not a classic was terrible. She was also incredibly talkative about it >.< And she was convinced that liking SF had screwed up her boyfriend (no joke...)

Fortunately, the class was taught by an SF fan and I had places to vent and wonder what she was doing there because it was really boggling and awful.
