Oatmeal's a gigantic asshole, but I already knew that from the sex worker comic he did. I also usually find his comic dull and it's quite transparently obvious that he's doing it for a buck, though I don't know why people are offended by that.

Also looks like the people being all snobbish about how the fact that Oatmeal markets and designs stuff in order to sell are assholes. Oh noes not an artist who wants to make money! By appealing to people, no less! How dare he! And how dare anyone like something that other people are telling them not to like! At least one of them also appears to think that subliminal marketing actually works, which it doesn't.

His work was stolen. No one's work should be stolen. I don't care what kind of asshole someone is, no one "deserves" to be the victim of theft.
