I don't think it's the pink that people have a problem with. If it was just generic pink pens then there wouldn't be an issue. It's the "For Her" bit that people are laughing at/objecting to. As if all women inherently prefer pink over all other colors, and pens "for her" (why do we even need pens that are categorized by gender?) therefore need to be pink.
