That's apparently the first time it's ever happened on the show (can't find the comment that confirms this, though). The producers were pretty horrified.
It does remind me of Farrah Abraham of Teen Mom getting one of the crew fired. Her baby was left somewhere like the top of some stairs and was in danger of falling. A crew member picked up the baby and the mother got him fired for touching her child. (I only know this from lurking on ONTD, I haven't seen the episode.)
