Oh God, there's always one person who's got to be the ~devil's advocate~ and try to find some ridiculous convoluted answer in the face of all logic. Great point about a baker showing up to work that late as well, there's just no way that would happen. I watched the episode a couple of days ago and it wasn't too bad for me, which was a pleasant surprise. Thanks again for the info on the show, it helped prepare me for it. I'm not sure whether I'm more relieved that it's not always that bad or more disturbed that that was their 'game face'. I've definitely known people who act worse when they know they've got attention (some of them are extended family). It was still stunning to see two adults behave so poorly, though. Knowing the younger waitress was okay made it a little easier to watch but the way she was treated was disgusting. And omg the food! Aside from how long everything took, it was AWFUL! How could she not see how bad it was? Uncooked pizza dough? A soggy burger? Unbelievable. I did laugh at how Ramsay didn't give a damn about calling them out to the customers, especially in regards to the tips. Oh, and when he asked Miranda to try the salmon burger and she immediately says, "No thanks." Miranda knows what is up. OH and Miranda fishing out that receipt to show Samy that she was right. There's probably someone else who can describe this much better than me, but I felt that Amy and Samy displayed classic emotionally abusive/manipulative behaviour: switching from giving lots of compliments to being vicious, and giving contradictory instructions (especially when Amy said, 'get out of here' and then 'stop and listen to me'). It was so creepy and disturbing. But I loved Ramsay's expression when Amy kept going on about online haters, lol. Post a comment in response: |
