I'm amazed that anyone is actually buying them at those prices. I mean, I just bought a couple of cake pops (halloween-themed ones, even! They were decorated to look like cartoony mummy heads.) from an actual legitimate store and they were $1.75 each.
Which is arguably still kind of expensive for what they are, but at least it doesn't feel like a blatant rip-off.
