I think she'd seen some of the overachievers who had hit 50K within the first couple of days and was denouncing that as impossible.

There is a later post in the same thread that breaks it down for someone who has a 90wpm typing speed, which I think makes a lot more sense than her characters per minute or whatever she was doing.
