How is saying that there are plenty of English majors who can't communicate a "gross generalization"? There were people harping on her being an English major, as if it's particularly unusual when an English major can't communicate, and from what I've seen, it is not. There are lots of English majors who can't communicate. Not that they are worse at communicating than other majors, but that being an English major doesn't mean someone can communicate.

And, er, judges are not known for being understanding of lawyers who can't communicate. Nor should they be. I don't know if that's a "gross generalization" when it's a simple fact.
