Current mood:*sporfle!*

"You're comparison is apples and vulcanized rubber."
So at Mock_the_stupid, [info]psychodyke42 posts about her friend who was bitched out by several girls in his art class because his project about 19th century British Parliament didn't include women.

[info]sm0t says, They're mad because they have no men in their lives.

But [info]kelly_rose starts wanking furiously. Women don't show up as much in the history books, but they are there, or if not in the traditional history books, they're in other books as well. True, I don't think those girls should have taken out their frustrations on your friend, I'm sure he didn't want to do extra research to find the women of history knowing that he could get an A with using what is more widely known.

Despite people using earthlogic and pointing out that there were no women in 19th century parliament [info]kelly_rose continues to whine:
How do any of us even know they were feminists? Just because a girl has an opinion, be it right or wrong, they're automatically a "feminist" these days.

And again (I'm so sick of repeating myself) as I said in the first place, I don't think they should have taken their frustrations out on this persons friend.

Just like you guys shouldn't be taking your frustrations out on me. Also, I've already said history has never been my strong area (as it obviously wasn't for these girls either), and I haven't taken a history class in years, I'm putting that off until last since I hate those classes so much. But go ahead, continue to attack me like I'm trying to chop your dicks off.

Spectacular. So, apparently, telling the truth is oppressing women everywhere! WONDERFUL. *snerk*

I know that, as someone with a penis, my opinion is immediately invalid in these matters, but wnat is she smoking?

No, I agree with you. Just because women weren't in Parliament doesn't mean that we have to pretend men weren't, either. I'm strongly feminist (as in, men and women are different but should have equal rights), and even I get tired of all the male bashing.

So... I'll tell you all about women in history, even though I don't know anything about it.

STAB STAB STAB!

Cool book

I have a cool book that's about the woman who helped discover DNA and was pretty much ignored by her male collegues and insulted in awful ways.

Of course, it's at home and I'm here so I can't tell you more, but it's a cool story.

I love how this part not-so-subtly implies that "feminist" is a dirty word. Way to shoot yourself in the foot there, Annie Dope-ley.

Sadly, though I have a shelf of books on the feminist movement in America, I'm feeble on the British front. But I do know enough bizarre details about Christopher Marlowe and his contemporaries that I'll be glad to bring the smackdown on debates about Elizabethan drama. 'Cause, you know, those come up so often.

Ahahahahaha. I love the smackdown [info]uberczech is bringing, and how it has no effect on [info]kelly_rose and her little plastic bubble.

Also, that's a real harsh life, following a dress code at where you work. Damn. That's some intense suffering. Almost as bad as not having any health care, no reliable source of food, severe malnutrition, a constant risk of robbery and murder.

Hee.
