I've mostly been avoiding the whole stupid friends argument but (to echo so many others) what the hell? Are people just too stupid to realize that if someone wants to read their posts then all they have to do is bookmark the LJ page? It's more convienient to friend, sure, but hitting the 'add to favorites' button ain't exactly rocket science.
