Wank hits Elfwood, film at eleven
Over on Elfwood Rant, Beatprogeny thinks that rants should be taken as they are, in the pure space of rantage without any fear or insult or rebuttal, and expresses bitterness at not getting recognized as he wants because of his penis.

Most of the other denizens of Elfwood Rant don't quite agree with this, though there is the required "I'm taking my artwork and going home" comment (naturally, Beatprogeny is horrified at how quickly everyone brushes this person off!).

Elfwood's old buddy miffedmidget (http://www.livejournal.com/users/miffedmidget/) took this (http://www.livejournal.com/community/elfwoodrant/99948.html?thread=1380460#t1380460) part of the previous wank and posted a Hint on public relations strategy (http://www.livejournal.com/community/elfwoodrant/101558.html), where he says: The fever pitch of self congratulatory sillyness in here has been getting so bad I just had to point this little useful hint out (since some folks idea of good public relations is to publicly critise rule breakers while being one themselves).

It looks like emperor_boy (http://www.livejournal.com/users/emperor_boy/) may have diffused the situation (http://www.livejournal.com/community/elfwoodrant/101558.html?thread=1423542#t1423542), but there's no telling whether miffedmidget will ignite the flames once more.

aaand the wank goes ever on and on... he has now posted a rant (http://www.livejournal.com/community/elfwoodrant/102047.html) about how stupid it is that people draw "dragons, griffins (the variant spelling are ANNOYING), unicorns, pegasi" and have the gall to call them characters. Also, furries "cheese him off" and vampires should be "scary, not sexy." And while, frankly, I kind of agree with him on the latter, anyone who brings out the "(insert mythical creature) SHOULD BE (archetypal characteristic)" is just begging for trouble. Telling people that their drawings bug you just isn't gonna get you very far.

But it's a *rant* forum, so you should be able to say anything without backing it up because it annoys you, right? Right?
