More Customers_Suck Wank
I'll admit that my wankdar isn't finely tuned yet, but this seemed a little wanky to me.

The original post:

little known fact - if you play lotto, scratch-offs, etc..when you win a nice amount of money (anything over 20, 25), you should throw the person who printed your ticket a tip, depending on how much you won. and you should also thank them.

Wankslation:

I am entitled to extra money for performing a service for which I'm already paid and takes no extra effort on my part. Why? BECAUSE I'M ENTITLED!

Other lottery ticket printers disagree.

BUT I'M ENTITLED! P.S. You don't want to piss me off, because my resentment will ... er ... have absolutely no effect on your chances of winning next time.

Comments range from "relax, dude" to "you're a retarded monkey who doesn't deserve handouts."

And then there's the best part:

You're all assholes. Stop replying to my post -- UR MAKING ME LOOK STOOPID!

Er, I think that only works for card dealers in casinos. But what do I know, I think of scratch tickets and lottery as a innumeracy tax.

I've been to a few casinos. They won't even let you take the money from the cashier's hands. (They put it on table, you take it) They'd probably explode if you tried to tip an employee.

I assume you're not talking about tipping dealers, but tipping the people who cash you out?

Good LORD. It's a "little known fact" because it's not a fact at all.

Otherwise all the people who won money when I worked at Speedway for three months better be coughin' up some dough.

Are customers_suck and mock_the_stupid having some sort of competition to see which can produce the most spooge?

There should be a [Bad username: otfwank_deathmatch] for this...

Sigh. I meant a otfwank_deathmatch. The force of the LJ tag is not with me tonight.

*cackles* Okay, I admit that when I worked in a betting shop we didn't exactly turn tips down... but that was more like when people won five hundred quid, not twenty. And you certainly don't expect it. More of a 'yay, bonus!' thing there.

Did she/he/it borrow their sense of entitlement from the Harry Potter fandom, or what?

And here I've been thinking that Billy Gates was such a super duper generous guy!

Is it bad I want to pop over to the community and point out that before they start bitching about someone else's stupidity they should learn to use the fucking shift key?
