How dare your customers_suck post not be of literary quality! OMGWTF!
solemn_hymn makes her introductory post to customers_suck and starts it like this:

Long-time reader, first-time poster...yeah...howdy. :)

I work in the Consumer Response center at a veeeery large baby food manufacturing company. Yeah, I work at Gerber Products...woo. I get to hear bitching about baby food. Joy.

I don't have any great stories at the moment, since I've forgotten many of them. I just figure I may as well start off with a few things that bother me. Sorry if I'm not supposed to put this here...first ever community post for me. *utter newbie* ;)

blueberryjoe takes minor exception to this somewhat uninspired opening. And keeps taking minor exception to this. And keeps taking minor exception to this, as people leap forward to combat the perceived troll and blueberryjoe enjoys himself.

Highlights include the dictionary definition of 'beginning', blueberryjoe's friend brucix styling himself Non-Sequitur Man and leaping to his friend's defense bearing, uh, Chuck Norris, and, of course, the eventual introduction of the Special Olympics picture by blueberryjoe, to which electricmayhem responds:

i order you to take that picture of my mother in law down.

Many, many nuggets of funny buried here.

He's right - it isn't a good way to start a post. But I could go there and say "Emus can't fly" and I'd be right as well.

Which one is the law about whipping out the dictionary?

I love the poster who says that Usenet style nitpicking isn't the way to go. That's great. Anal retentive musings like blueberryjoe's are just a tad ridiculous now that the Internet isn't the exclusive property of the Mensa Club. I'm sure there are places for people who can't stand imperfection to commiserate.

He certainly fits the archetype of a LJ troll. Makes you wonder where the mods are in cases like this.

I dunno, I still think he could have ratcheted the vitriol up another couple of notches. At one point he seems dangerously close to admitting that he could have phrased his post a little more happily. I'd have to class myself an unsatisfied customer.

I did have to giggle at "that contest was in 1931. You missed the deadline" and "No, your three week old baby cannot have a Twix bar."
