Good ol' fashioned wank about LJ itself
In case you didn't notice, there is a new LJ skin that shows up by default now. You can change it by going to the Browse Options page. Although some of the comments indicate that some people had problems changing it back.

Some people are happy with the layout, some aren't:

"It looks a lot gayer, and retarded." spawns many rebuttals, including an invocation of wank.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ... hate hate hate die!" gets you accused of trolling.

"self-righteous cunts aren't allowed an opinion"

"now that you have managed to make this site even more retarded then it ever was..... how do i erase my acount?"

"wow. that was really gay."

"I DO NOT like the new skin!!! ... Sorry guys. I think this spur of the moment, no warning, everyone at once implimentation was a bad idea."

and that's only a sampling since I haven't gotten through all the comments yet. I'm not fond of the layout myself, although I could see myself getting used to it. Right now I am more annoyed that LJ is being slow...

I think the lesson here is that when LJ changes something, wank is sure to happen.

There also seems to be a couple people in the post who have made it their duty to rag on people who complain about the new.

	christ. I've been using the "new" skin for close on a year, ever since they first tested it out. It's not new, idiots. plus, if they actually went to look at the page where you switch over, it gives you an OPTION. you can have the old style or the new style. sheesh. wankers. (Reply to this)

Well yeah, assuming you know the link to do that, assuming the pictures will load so you can tell it what skin to switch to, assuming the switch takes (I had to do it twice, and I'm still not sure if that'll follow my account, or if I'll have to switch every time I log in.) Though granted if you're flaming people on the lj news comm, you'd have access to the link. Snerk.

Thank you. My points exactly. I couldn't navigate with that skin, couldn't find a way to get to half of the features of my LJ and I think it's just poorly designed. It took a while to figure out where to go to change it back over. In fact I think it was a total accident that I stumbled onto the right page. I'm much happier with the old look.

	Yes you can. Assuming you can figure out how to find the news page. Granted, I was ~~a little~~ tired. That's why I didn't realize I had to hover the mouse pointer over the menu to make the other options show up; I got to the news page in a roundabout manner through my friends lists. Well, I made the mistake of daring to post my opinion concerning the change. About thirty seconds later someone decided I needed to be punished for it.

I should probably just drop it, but his first post was brainless and his second even more so, and frankly even though we're on one liners right now, I'm having fun messing with him.

Me: Yes. And your point is?
Him: Oh my.

If that's all he posts I'll just leave it because I need better material to work with. Maybe I should correct his punctuation though? Maybe I should just go find something else to cure my current boredom.

	I'm not sure I like the new default myself, but I can guarantee you this: give me a week and I'll probably forget what the old layout even looked like, as I become more and more accustomed to it simply through repeated usage. It'll take a while to do so, but I'll get used to it. (Reply to this)
