gotta love those comic feeds
Get Fuzzy + War in Iraq = hell breaking loose.

This theme will most likely continue throughout the week, as will the wank, especially if flashfire continues to express his "strong opinions" or loveitorleaveit comes back for more baiting.

Alas, all that spooge will disappear in a week. Sad, in a way...
Most of the top comments seem to be doing a "WTF? Why has the comic I read for humor suddenly started a real downer of a war commentary?", but there are a couple who were obviously just waiting for any excuse to whip it out and jizz off a couple of politiwanks.

Damn, people just jumped all over Flashfire for no real reason. He had a point: the creator has a right to do whatever he pleases with his comic. If they don't want to read more political comments, they *can* stop reading for a few days. While sometimes people do abuse the 'don't like it, don't read it' rule, there are times when it's totally appropriate, and telling people to not read a comic if it's dealing with material they aren't interested in really isn't the same as sending political dissenters to Siberia.

Aw, I was coming here to post this! I wanted to be first! (heh) There's even a small wank over "first" in this one.

So far my favourite comment is by puremisery: "Dont you have dicks to suck over at debate or something?" Of course, I can't bring myself to read the whole thing, especially the political parts. Although I did like loveitorleaveit's comment on the second page: "what are you, a communist?" Of course, that journal is just a troll, the comments can't be serious. At least one hopes.

At least flashfire apologized on the second page. Sort of. He might have started off well, but man, he turned into the wankiest troll. Amusing.

As I said over at fandom_wank, Doonesbury has a similar issue this week and they carried a warning, yet Get Fuzzy didn't.

Wonder if there'll be wank over that.

Sheesh... they're supposed to be funny all the time?

I guess some folks might take issue at anthropomorphic animals feeling shock at what happened to Uncle Willie, who probably wouldn't be offended if it were cartoon humans. And Get Fuzzy has a lot of social and political commentary. Like when they were making signs to hold up at the ballgame, Satchel made one that said "Dont Bom Irak". Or my favorite, with Bucky saying "Harry Potter is fictitious!" and Satchel's comeback, "No he isn't, he's British."

How was the Harry Potter comment socio-political?

Note I separated "social" and "political" as two separate animals. The Harry Potter reference to me is social commentary/referencing.
