They're baaaack...
Wasn't this the person that swore they were a guy, with a name like "queenmadeline"? Or am I thinking of someone else? Anyhow, you may remember them from LJDrama, as well as this very community.

Evidently, if I throw food at a customer, and they get mad about it...they suck!

And don't forget the Learn to speak English or get out of my country!

I just want to stab things when I do that (closing tabs instead of hitting the "back" button). I use Firefox as my browser, and I moved my back button waaay the hell away from my "close" button. Just in case. Still doesn't help the dumb, but it seems to slow it down.

I almost lost my job yet again today, because of an incident that happened with yet another rude obnoxious customer. Here's what happened:

As some of you may know I work for a Papa Johns that provides delivery and carryout service. The way our restaurant is set up is the make line where the pizzas are assembled is near the front counter, along one of the side walls. At the front of the store running perpendicular to the make line, is a row of chairs where the customers sit and wait for their pizzas to be ready.

As you can imagine, my job can be pretty boring at times, so my co-workers and I have to keep ourselves entertained. One of the ways we do this is through horseplay, in particular throwing balls of pizza dough at each other. Well today something unlucky happened, me and my co worker Brian (who works at the make line) had been playing "pizza dough dodgeball" (that's what we call it) on and off for a few hours. I was looking for an opportunity to peg my co worker with a baseball sized ball of dough I had been able to put together and hid under the racks that hold the pizza deliver bags. The opportunity came when we finally got an order, and Brian was temporarily distracted making the pizzas. I quickly retrieved the ball of dough, leaned around the conveyor oven, and threw it as hard as I could at his head.

Unfortunately almost right as I did this he looked over and was able to duck out of the way, the ball of dough flew past him and smacked a random customer sitting in one of the chairs right in the chest. I could actually hear the "thud" as it impacted the guys torso. Naturally as soon as this happened I ducked back down behind the oven, and discreetly made my way to the bathroom in the back of the store where I hid for about thirty seconds.

I knew the customer was going to complain about it, but I had no idea how much they were going to spaz out. I came out of the bathroom and the first thing I hear is someone (who I assumed to be the customer) screaming. "Is this how you treat people here? Is this how you fucking treat people?!"

As I walked to the front of the store I saw that my assumption was right and it was, in fact, the customer who had just been hit with the ball of dough that was doing all the yelling. He was holding the ball of dough up while he screamed and it looked ridiculous, I had to try hard to supress my laughter. My manager was trying profusely to apologize, but the guy just kept on whinning and bitching like a little crybaby. After my manager had unsuccessfully tried to mollify him by making his current order free and giving him a coupon for another free pizza, the guy made the annoucement that we "could keep that bullshit!" and that he would "never do business with us again!" he then stormed out the door.

My manager then turned his attention on me, brian, and the rest of my co-workers who had been in the store. He called us all up to the front. "Who threw the dough?"

We all just looked at him, at first I though brian might tell, but he didn't.

"Who threw the dough, no one is doing anything else until I find out who threw it, so whoever did it might as well just fess up to it."

Still no one said anything, you might think my stupid annoying manager would of took the hint and stopped pestering all of us, but he just kept on and on.

"Noone should have to deal with this kind of thing, I shouldn't have to deal with problems like this you cause, whoever did this should just admit to it, this type of behavior has no place here..." blah blah blah.

Suddenly I had an idea. We have several brazilian delevery drivers, none of whom really speak english very well. I already figured I was probably going to get fired anyway, so I didn't really have much to lose by taking a chance.

"I saw who threw it" I announced. "I don't think you meant to hit the guy, but I think you should just fess up to it. It would be the right thing to do."

Everyone gave me their attention. I waited a few seconds then said:

"I'm dissapointed in you Walber." While I looked repraochingly at Walber, who is a brazilian driver that also horses around a lot.

"Is this true, did you throw the pizza dough?" My manager asked him.

He just got this confused look on his face, I don't think he really understood what was going on. My manager repeated the question. And then a miracle happened. He actually said "yes". I couldn't believe it.

After that Walber got written up, we're short on drivers though so luckily they couldn't fire him. It still really makes me mad how a customer made such a big deal out of something so trivial and caused one of us to get in trouble. I mean come on it's a fucking ball of dough, big deal you pansy. If it were a rock or something then you would have a right to complain, and it was clearly an accident in the first place anyway. Some customers have no goddamn manners or regard for other peoples jobs I guess, they think they deserve to be treated like they're the center of the universe. In a way I'm glad this happened because we don't want to do business with a jerk like that anyway, and now we won't have to.
