Stupid people. Stupid, stupid people.
Small wank, but it's young, there's potential here.

not_kosher posts to macintosh, claiming he's taken his former-boyfriend's ibook out of spite as the ex took a bunch of his shit. Only problem is he needs the administrator's password to do anything with it, and is hoping someone in the community will help him hack it.

The problem? Apparently he previously posted (in a deleted post) that he actually found the ibook on the train. The story's only changed because no one would help him with his request before except to tell him to turn it in to the police. And he didn't bother to remove the original story from his own journal.

As I said, small but amusing, and comes complete with grammar nitpickiness and don't-go-holier-than-thou-you-software-stealers wankiness.

You know, you're supposed to put spaces after your commas, thief.

HA.

Honestly, this makes me cringe and cuddle my PowerBook. If I left it on the train and someone took it...

Lying is bad, evidently. Unless you can remember all of your previous lies, and pick up the pieces. And, of course, avoid the keen eye of the Wankers (who are well versed in the ways of screenshots and cached pages).

Maybe people should just start offering us bribes.
