LJ user achmanage asks the hard-hitting questions.

Ok. So anyway, I've noticed something. Find a girl. She has to either be in college or just entering into a job. So find her. Well, I'll just put it this way:

I've noticed that a fat girl in college will 9 times out of 10 be a Liberal Democrat.

Girl + Fat + No real world experience = Democrat

Why is this? Anybody have an answer?

Cue an onslaught of . . . wait, agreement? What the shit is this?

thatannagirl is particularily insightful:

perhaps since they've always had enough to eat, and apparently haven't had to work REALLY hard to get it, they have no comprehension of the concept of hard work... and how can the big bad govt force anyone to work just so they can survive??
Perhaps noone has ever loved them be they're just so fat and so they come up with an excuse so that some people have to love them. "but we'll give you food, too... maybe we're paying for it with someone else's money, but... FOOD!

Maybe it's because fat chicks are smart enough to know that food is good and thus can recognize the inherent flaws in the Republican system, especially when the Republican ideal is so far from the current party's standards.

Or maybe they're just saying that because person+anonymity+audience=moron.

I'm not liberal (both political parties have disowned me), but it's my experience 9 out of ten college girls are liberal. If all you're looking at is "fat girls," then you're going to miss out on all the hot liberal girls.

But then, if you have no chance with the hot girls, it's not like you're going to know their politics anyway.

19 out of 20 college girls seem to be leftist, period, because seemingly 29 out of 30 colleges are leftist, and probably 15 of those 29 colleges will be ridiculously leftist. 29 out of 30 internet hangouts are probably on the far side of liberal, as well.
... Which does kind of lead me to wonder if some people would consider this wanky if the OP and those who agreed would still consider it wanky if you replaced "Democrat" with "Republican"... but that's a whole other wank, I suppose.

This is kind of ironic, because the one really fat girl (like, actually 200+ lbs) I've known in college was the token reactionary Republican.

Then again, she also continued to wear her Catholic school uniform all through freshman year. I'm not sure what she was trying to accomplish, but it was kind of creepy.

Even if the guy didn't just pull the statistic out of his ass he still is stupid enough to not realize the difference between correlation and causation. It's a statistical fact that there's a strong positive correlation between liquor sales and the number churches in cities but that doesn't mean every Sunday all those extra religious people don't get shitfaced drunk.
