To certain people at [info]c_suck_snark:

You don't have to snark every single [info]customers_suck poster who doesn't come off sounding like a perfect saint in their post. Get over it. The OP had only asked the guy for his zip code twice and the guy cursed her out, I hardly find that to be harassment. Stop trying to be [info]fandom_wank without the boobies, as you lack the funny and the common sense.

If it wasn't locked to nonmembers, I'd go post in [info]i_wank on this. But for now I merely rant.

Fucking word! "OMG she should have stopped after once!" Yeah, hi, in a lot of chains, policy is to keep asking at least three times, and people can get fired or reprimanded for not pushing enough.

Grar. I need to get a killfile for c_s_suck.

I'm guessing the complainer never worked in that particular brand of customer service.

I've never had a job like that and I still know they have to ask me. I always just smile and say "No, thank you" and then move on with life. If everyone had manners, the world would be so much nicer >_>.

But we wouldn't have customers_suck then, would we?

Oh yeah. I should check to be sure, but at least the majority of the overly sensitive snarks on c_s_snark are by only a few people, but god do these few get on my nerves. Seriously, aren't there enough obviously-made-up/non-suck/bad_service entries to snark? (Apparently, writing your entry in the forst of a DOs and DON'Ts list is presumpteous and invalidates everything you say, in the eyes of some snarkers. Gah.)

I believe you're right. If they're polite, the guy is not, that counts as a suck.

My cousin used to work at Sears and said she wanted to blow up to poster-size the pages of her employee handbook where it spelled out that employees were REQUIRED to collect such-and-such information when a customer signed up for a charge card/bought an expensive piece of hardware, then hang them above her register because she got cussed out by so many customers when she had to take their info down.

It's like a train wreck. I keep looking at it and wonder why. I guess I don't devote a lot of negative energy to customers_suck when I come across a stupid post. I either stop reading, roll my eyes, or both. I don't feel the need to go post in another community about it and make fun of the posters. But I read it c_s_snark anyway.

when I read the post you referred to, I knew I didn't even have to look to know that snark was going to be tearing apart the OP for asking more than once. These people need more to do in their lives. :( (Says I, knitting at work)

It also makes me sad how self-congratulatory that community is. "OMG THAT COMMENT ROCKED YOU SHOWED 'EM." It's the internets. It's SUCH serious business, isn't it?

To be fair, the OP of that post was Tigerwolf.
