Role Play? WTF?

Is it just me or do a lot of people mistake drama for quality in applications? As an admin I've looked over quite a bit of applications and it's a definite trend across fandoms. Well actually until recently before my canon list was pretty much filled at my Death Note RPG I was getting good applications all around. Then people started coming in applying for these originals (not a dive at originals as actually one of my players does exceptional original characters) that were...
