Oh, this is wonderful, thank you! This is just how I imagined they might know one another, better than anyone else does but leaving so much unsaid because so much is just understood. Sometimes the details of one's grief aren't as important as the fact that it's there. I love their comfort with one another, and the way the wearyness of war has affected everyone.
