I loved this story. Snape is just... perfect. Seriously. This is just one of the best Snapes I think I've ever read! Right from the first scene, his voice is just so good, so spot-on. I loved every line of his dialogue, and every bit of his internal monologue. I like this pairing in theory, but I haven't read tonnes of it because I'm never sure how to get them together. I am tough to convince. But with a simple one-night stand scenario, you totally convinced me! Because it wasn't simple at all, really. But the dialogue in that scene made it seem so simple, the sort of thing consenting adults engage in casually all the damn time, so why not Snape and Tonks? It was a perfect set-up, really.

I loved Tonks, too. Emerging from her layers of clothing in that first scene, she was just perfect. I admit she got a bit sappy for me near the end, continuing to come to visit Snape after he'd told her not to... but then, you know, I thought about it, and that is all totally IC for canon Tonks. TOTALLY. I had to pull myself back from fanon!Tonks, with her tough attitude, which I myself am guilty of writing. This Tonks was way more IC, much as some of us may gripe about canon Tonks and her loving nature. This all may sound like a backhanded compliment, but I do mean it as a compliment! Tonks was really strong here, and she made sense with Snape. I loved how she knew him so well, and knew how to talk to him. And wouldn't take any of his shit. ;)

Other things I loved... the canon of it! I'm a total sucker for stories that weave right into canon, and oh, man, the way you did this? Alternating between OotP and HBP and DH? My canon kink was tickled hard! It was so deftly done! I loved how you used their relationship to explain Tonks's canony mousy hair in HBP, and their brief canon interaction when Tonks brings Harry back to the castle in HBP, and just, all of that was so good! I found myself slightly wishing it had remained canon-compliant all the way through, but then, I am a cold-hearted troll that way. ;) The ending was perfect for the story, and Teddy! Of COURSE! :))

Anyway, I'm rambling, but in sum: God, this was good. I loved it to pieces. :)

	OMG, this feedback made my day. It's like you "got" everything I was going for, especially with Tonks. Hee, and I just couldn't do a sad ending for Femme, although I can totally see ways of doing it. XD And I stand by "lack of plot"! :) Thank you! (Reply to this)(Parent)
