How much do I love this story?

First of all, I adore that you wrote real love into the relationships of the Malfoy family (including Draco). And jealousy and betrayal and everything in between, because they're real people with human emotions, no matter how odious their politics. And that Narcissa wants Severus at the same time as she wants her husband? And that half of Severus' motivation is class-issue based? And that Lucius wants, but that wanting isn't enough after all that time in Azkaban? All perfectly believable.

And god, their anger and love and fear and wanting, all bubbling up and spilling over, because these people are just too damned exhausted to keep any of these feelings submerged any longer....exactly right. And, oh...the little clutch in my heart when Severus left Narcissa's room...and then the ending, and yes, I cried (sad and happy all at once), because at least Severus had had a time to be happy - just a little - before it was all over.

Thank you so much for my gift!
