4:53PM - NIGHT OF THE BAD COMIC ART II: THE RETURN

It's that time again.

Halloween means NIGHT OF THE BAD COMIC ARTISTS.

Zuul, motherfucker. Zuul.

Which means spam the crap out of the community with images on this post. We tried this out last year and it went pretty well.

I figured I'd do a theme for my own spamming so I dug up a lot of bad costumes (or just silly), but post whatever you see fit. NSFW warning applies. If you can, give character name and at least give the publisher, comic, or artist name.

Here is some wonderfully strange good art by my favorite artist, Yamamoto Takato who has a gothic ukiyo-e style. If you like Yoshitaka Amano, you should like him. (NSFW for fetish art (S&M), nudity, and gore. I don't find anything triggery, but it may be to some.)

Ok, so I just recently got back into a The Darkness kick and hunted down a copy of The Darkness/DarkChylde crossover.

4:53PM - Well, at least she gets points for originality.

Like so many of us, RedPassion has a crush on a historical figure (though not, as you might think from her username, Karl Marx). And, like so many of us who lack the ability to tell when we're making ourselves look like total loons, her DeviantArt gallery is filled with pictures of her crush locked in a passionate embrace with her Mary Sue.

Now, we're not quite in Snapewives territory here - salami has not yet come up. Nor does her artwork seem obviously off. However, I bring her work here to you because her (somewhat obsessive) crush - and consequently all of her art - is on that paragon of sexiness, Louis XVI. Yes, that is correct. No, I didn't transpose those last two numerals.

1:46PM - Night of the Bad Comic Artists Submission Post!

Greeting Boils and Ghouls! It's that time of year again! Halloween is coming up this weekend and we have a special trick or treat in store for you kiddies. A little horrible post I like to call:



I bet the woman with the nude back facing us has Rob Liefeld feet.

Please submit the most terrifying, most grotesque art that makes you scream out "ANATOMY DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!" or "OH GOD, MY RETINAS!" you can find below as links or e-mail me the images. Please provide the name of the artist and comic title if known and not visible in the image, as well as context if applicable (but who needs context anyways)! Submissions need not be restricted to western art. Comments will be screened.

The images will be put up on October 30th at 5 p.m PST. That's 12 a.m on Halloween in Greenwich.

Believe me, these are extremely NSFW and involve things such as the misuse of images of milk being poured into glasses, possible medical issues, snakes photoshopped into places they shouldn't be, and of course, the head of Jared Padalecki pasted onto a variety of bodies.

Also, Picasso didn't compromise his vision, and neither will Mythagowood, it seems.

Ummm, yeah, you might want to rethink that 'hey, someone should show these to the actors at a con!' idea.. Even if "I'm a guy and regardless of my sexual orientation, the only way I myself (or just about any other guy I know) would be insulted or angered by this particular type of manip would be if my dick was made to look VERY small."

I was kind of spooked by Japanese ball-jointed dolls but these are far scarier. Also NSFW due to naked doll penises and vaginas.

Not that they're poorly crafted... just terrifying. (I would also argue they are tasteless).

The curious case of Omar González (some images NSFW), a Spanish-language fanartist whose art seems to have been entirely copied (though perhaps not traced) from other fanartists. Ho hum. The more surprising part: he charged $25-$150 commissions for his work.

About a year ago, Worth1000.com had a Photoshop contest for manipping celebrities into Renaissance portraits. Several are incredibly good, most are a bit WTF.

Jack Black is definitely my favorite.

So, the H/G hug picture from the HBP publicity shots?  You know, the one that shot to hell all of the arguments about how the lack of "visual canon" meant that H/G couldn't be real (never mind DH, because everyone knows that that bitch JKR hasn't a clue)?

Well, it seems that the Harry/Luna shippers have the first batch of manip fodder.  Can the Harmony version be far behind?
