Subject:What if Slashers chose quotes in the same way Harmonians did?

Perhaps Snape left the book in there? It was worth a try. He pushed the door ajar and peered inside - and a horrible scene met his eyes.

Snape and Filch were inside, alone. Snape was holding hid robes above his knees...

-Philosopher's Stone, Chapter 11, Page 134

Instead he contented himself with scrawling a note to Ron. 'Let's do it tonight.'

Ron read the message, swallowed hard and looked sideways at the empty seat usually filled by Hermione. The sight seemed to stiffen his resolve, and he nodded.

-Chamber of Secrets, Chapter 15, Page 200

Felix was telling him that Slughorn would remember nothing of this in the morning.
-Harry, just before leaving Slughorn and Hagrid to sleep together. Half-Blood Prince, Chapter 22, page 458.

Heh. Just thought I'd show you can prove anything if you're willing to take things out of context. Anyone else care to show any?

Your post gave me the much needed laugh break in an otherwise intense day.

Brilliant XD I especially loved the first one. The second one brought an image to my mind of Ron thinking something along this lines, "Well, Hermione isn't there and all, so... Okay"

"Say hello to him [Hagrid] for us!" called Hermione, as Harry proceeded down the ward. "And ask him what's happening about...about his little friend!" (850)
This one too, makes me think of "Scarface"

It's all about the subtext baby! I'm sure I could even snatch some Voldie/Harry or Voldie/Dumbledore quotes if I'd bother enough to do so. All UST...

Oh, the beauty of subtext. Obviously Dumbledore and Voldemort are in love with each other... it's so pure and delicate love.

NO NO NO! Leave Albus out of the hypothetical squicky subtext. It's bad enough that people write smutty stories in which the fatherliness crosses the line. I need brain bleach, stat!

Oh, I've seen the fic descriptions. Nothing really shocks me anymore, but some things just shouldn't be discussed. ;)

Heh. I wish I could take this thread as a joke, but seriously, the hardcore slashers did do this, especially the R/S militants. It was kinda funny, then it got lame, then it got sanctimonious. Then I got hungry, then a bit nappy, then bored. You can read anything you like into a story if you drink enough look hard enough.

Speaking of which, I have some fabulous FAP slasher whinging. Would that be welcome here, eh comrades?

YES. It would be VERY welcome. We're getting a little bogged with Harmoaning.

Yay for unintentional innuendo! Except for when the slashers take it too seriously.

Warning, not Firefox friendly. I made that list two years ago, and didn't discover the joys of FF until late 2004.
