I just read our beloved marionros' latest post on HP for Grownups. According to her the members of the list are "doublethinking" themselves into believing that Lucius, who supposedly hesitated to harm children in the Ministry raid in OotP, wanted to get rid of Dumbledore as Headmaster (and for very good reasons) and protected his family whilst at the same
time thwarting the Dark Lord, was evil and that nasty bully Harry was good.

I'm going to regret asking, but...link?

Also, did anyone point out that Lucius was pretty casual about slipping an 11-year-old girl a cursed diary to revive a giant murderous reptile in a SCHOOL FULL OF CHILDREN?

The post is here, but you must be a member of the group in order to read it (though membership is open for everybody and it's pretty easy to acquire it).

Marionros is a leading member of the Church of Snape. Rational humans need not apply.

Here's one of the real winners.

(and isn't it amazing that during Snape's year as Headmaster, a year where actual DE's run riot through Hogwarts, not one student actually got hurt?)

The sheer blockheaded stupidity of that comment hurts my brain.

Did marionros forget the part where the Cruciatus curse really hurts?

Oh, but I forgot. Her Sevvie-pooh couldn't possibly have permitted that to happen! *rolls eyes*

Or better yet, that Neville's face looked like he'd been used as a knife sharpener, and Michael Corner was tortured so badly for releasing an eleven year old child who had been chained up that they didn't dare release any more eleven year old children from chains? Obviously none of that would constitute 'students getting hurt.'

Yeah, but apparently the DA don't count--or they were asking for it. This is marionros, remember.

I probably shouldn't have read any of that while drinking tea. fullmoonjane, seeing as you accepted my marriage proposal, when would you like to have the wedding? Also, I love you.

I might be the only musical fan who isn't enamored with "Phantom". Nor have I ever felt the urge to stick Snape in Erik's shoes. Ugh.

Actually, most "hardcore" musical theatre fans cannot stand Phantom, or ALW in general (minus a few shows, such as Evita, JCS, and in a few cases Sunset Boulevard).

Snape is a lot like Erik, actually: creepy and an asshole, yet people worship him because he is intelligent and "in love."

Oh, that's surprising. The majority of theater fans I've run into adore Webber. Must be hanging out with the wrong crowd. And that's a remarkably astute comparison; I never understood the obsession with the Phantom any more that I understood the obsession with Snape. I mean, Snape's at least an interesting character at times, but "sexy"? Really? And Erik just creeps me out. (Also, your icon makes me giggle.)
