The HMS STFU - Harry Potter Musical

| So true. I loved the way they put it together. The Harry/Ron/Hermione friendship dynamic seemed to be well played, and the "Draco Malfoy" character totally made me crack up with laughter the first time I saw him/her. :P
I don't know how much of the fanon the play's writers are aware of but they seem to at least know of some of the common tropes to poke fun at, since Dumbledore says, "What the hell is a Hufflepuff?", the Gryffindors are seated by themselves in the Great Hall, and Snape is rather nice-ish to Hermione (by canon Snape standards).

| | I thought it was more true to the books than the movies, to be honest. I like that they actually kept Ron's "coolness," which the movies sorely lack. | | (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |

| | And Hermione's frumpy nerdiness, even if they turned her into the Butt Monkey a a la Meg Griffin. I thought "Granger Danger" was incredibly sweet though, I would like to see more of American Ron's softer side. | | (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |

| | Yeah, I think the Draco/Hermione thing had to have come from fanon. | | (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) |
