Did anyone else notice (or more aptly, how long has this been on offer) that Sars is making a Tomato Nation Spoken Word album.

...

WTF?

Yup. She's taking a poll over at TN for which pieces her readers think should be on the album.

If she hadn't brushed me off the last time I emailed her, I might actually care.

Dot dot dot.

Does she think she's Sarah Vowell or something?

If it includes "So Your Cat Has Ass Breath" I'm all over it. Best piece on TN, IMO, and even several years and reads later it still makes me laugh so hard I can't breathe.

Also, "Thou Art With Us" is one of the best personal 9/11 stories I've ever read. TN may suck weasels now but some of the past entries are brilliant and I think they'd make for a good spoken word album. However, NOT read by Sars, who has one of the most unpleasant voices I've ever heard. If she hires a good voice actor, I may look into buying it.

I've heard her whiskey tenor, and she's terribly boring to listen to.

She sounds like Marge Schott used to.
