Classy interview, woo!
Mr. Stupidhead (whom I best know as "Sars' brother") landed a phone interview with Dexter's Julie Benz.

Starting out the interview:

Mr. S: Also, congratulations on your Golden Satellite Award. That's pretty exciting.

Benz: Oh, thank you!

Mr. S: I'm sorry I didn't get to congratulate you until now, but you know...maybe if you returned some of my messages...

Benz: Yeah, my number changed.

Mr. S: Yeah, okay. Whatever.
Which, personally, is when I'd consider hanging up.

Then, to wrap up the interview:
Mr. S: And also, you know you don't have to commit to anything right now, but I'm in a band, and the guyz[sic] wanted to know if you'd be in one of our videos. I'm just floating that out there, obviously I'm sort of partially kidding, but, uh...yeah. You don't have to answer right now, I totally understand if you need time to think about it.

Benz: ...Yeah...sounds cool!
I think we all know what kind of "videos" he's referring to, no?

I also like the part where he's asking her about plot points in Darkly Dreaming Dexter instead of having read it himself because "I've got about five other things I need to read first." It's...not really that long of a read, about 300 pages. Or listen to the audiobook. Or get Sars to read it to you. Or for you, and give you the highlights, since it's for work and all.

It's a bummer, because I've really been enjoying his Dexter recaps, and liked his SevHev recaps well enough.

it's kind of hard to read that interview without cringing or being concerned about Julie Benz getting stalked.

That's definitely in the top 10 most unprofessional interviews I've ever seen.

That was kind of embarrassing to read.

I've been reading the "Ask A..." posts, and they all come across as self-pimping for TwoP. The interviewers come across as self-absorbed - they're like that coworker who makes everything all about them, you know?

Mr. Stupidhead has a band that he wants this chick to be in? Why didn't he go off record for that? Isn't there some sort of actual business stuff that goes into getting random people to appear in your "videos". What is the band sucks and she backs out? What's going on at twop?

Seems this could have been otr too.
Mr. S: There are a couple other things... We're about to wrap this up, uh, first of all, I have to tell you that my friend Allen loves you. I promised him I'd tell you that.

Benz: Well, you tell Allen I love him, too.

Mr. S: Okay...well, I'm going to hold back on that because you never really know...with Allen...totally kidding, he's a good guy.

Benz: All right, well, tell him that I like him a lot.
*rolls eyes quite hard*

*shudders a bit*

There's being cutesy with celebs, but when obviously have no clue who you are you kind of need to be a bit more tempered.

I've always been annoyed with TWOP's interviews and how they think they're so witty as to include their questions/comments. Uhm. NO.

I suppose this is more of their hilarious irony. Oh the wit. And isn't Julie Benz Darla? Aw, glad she's still working.
