From the latest Fametracker Entry:

For instance: Mabel Vernon in last year's Iron Jawed Angels, in which she played an American suffragist. Hilary Swank and Frances O'Connor kind of hogged the movie with their showy hunger strikes and other prison protests

Pretty audacious of Swank an O'Connor, the leads of the film, in their "hogging of the movie". What with their "showy" hunger strikes and prison protests that, you know, actually happened, since their playing historical characters. But screw them and their movie hogging.

More of the typical FT "being too cool" attitude in which leads are damned for being the leads.

I also enjoy the blatant blog-pimping in the very first line.

Did you read the last GG recap? Pamie linked to her blog at least three times. She's quickly becoming my least-favorite recapping person.

since you mentioned GG...do you know of anywhere else with transcripts? because WB cracked down on twiztv and i've been depending on twiztv transcripts since the recaps got wanky.

What is *with* Pamie and the blog pimping? Does she get a kickback for every clickthrough or something?

It appears this question in the GG FAQ was more accurate than initially appeared.

You know, I only didn't bring that up because it seemed so fucking random and lame. Though that truly is the primary complaint: what the fuck does it have to do with anything?

Actually, it kinda feels like the blog pimp was the impetus behind the article--like, "Damn, who's in Silence of the Lambs that we could possibly pass off as a HITG! that we haven't done before? I KNOW, BROOKE SMITH!"

I don't know why she's even doing that. Ooooh, Buffalo Bill! I love how they're always on the cutting edge of pop culture. *nods* Especially since, y'know, he didn't survive the movie.

I'd rather read about how his twin brother managed to get past the "serial killer in the family" stigma and take a job as a police captain in San Francisco.

I've always wondered about that--the Jame Gumb blog thing has been kicking around for a pretty long time, in some form or another. And, I mean... dude. He dies. The movie was fourteen years ago. For a long time, it was actually my *favorite* movie. And even I have to say: dude, let it go.
