I swear to Christ this general sentiment (and the related "prejudice/bullying/isms doesn't exist in [Non-US country]" nonsense) needs to be a goddamn bingo square or Jurisimprudence law at this point. Bonus points for the asshole in question derailing with "you/the internet/fandom is just biased against non-US countries!" when someone points out how spurious the statement is.
