If we eliminate all words from our language that were originally ablist we'd have to quite using words like 'idiot' (which is still a legal term in many states for a person who is developmentally disabled), 'moron', possibly 'twit' etc. I'm certainly not going to stop using any of those words. Derpy Hooves is adorable, and I love her as a fan character.
